We are on the hunt for a detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced Permanent AR/AP Associate to join our dynamic team in the construction industry.
This critical role will be responsible for managing both our accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial records and helping to drive our company's financial operations to success.
This is a full-time, permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity to grow and learn in a fast-paced, booming industry.
Responsibilities:
1.
Manage the full cycle of accounts payable activities including receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling all invoices in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
2.
Handle the accounts receivable process, which includes issuing invoices, verifying transactions, recording payments, and tracking any outstanding debts.
3.
Prepare and schedule vendor payments, ensuring all payments are made in accordance with vendor terms and conditions.
4.
Generate AR invoices, following up on, collecting and allocating payments.
5.
Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.
6.
Monitor and resolve any discrepancies or irregularities in invoices and payment requests.
7.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor and customer files.
8.
Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and ensure the accurate and timely processing of transactions.
9.
Assist in month-end closing activities and the preparation of financial reports.
10.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications:
1.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounts payable or accounts receivable role, preferably within the construction industry.
2.
Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, with a particular focus on Excel.
3.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, data entry, and the financial process of transactions.
4.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
5.
Ability to manage and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
6.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7.
High level of integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
8.
Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
9.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
10.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
